Bishop Derrick Johnson Sr. D.D.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Bishop Derrick Johnson is the son of Pastor Curtis E. Johnson and Assistant District Missionary Willye Mae Watkins. He was called to preach at the tender age of 14 under the tutelage of his "pop", Bishop Thomas Davis. Bishop Johnson was ordained by the late Bishop L.B. Davenport and the late Bishop Ithiel Clemmons, Ordination Chairman of Church of God in Christ, Greater North Carolina Jurisdiction.

Bishop Johnson was confirmed a Bishop in May 2004 at the North Carolina Bishopic Believer's Conference under the leadership of Apostle Reginald J. White. And under his leadership, Bishop Johnson has grown spiritually and is now nationally recognized as an anointed teacher, preacher and Bishop.

In October 2004, Bishop Johnson received his Doctorate in Divinity from the Sword of the Spirit School of Ministry. Bishop Johnson recently completed his first publication entitled, "My Story: Moving Beyond The Negative Patterns" which allows a transparent perspective into his life and how God can deliver one from a road to destruction. Neila D. Johnson

Affectionately known as "Lady J" is the daughter to Ruth Ann Adderley and the late Ernest James. Born on March 30th 1976 in Latrobe Pa, she is the wife of Bishop Derrick S. Johnson Sr. The mother of three children ShaiReef, Jahmeir, and Dasia.

Lady J attended the Westmorland community College and is currently working in the medical field caring for transplant patients. She also served 8 years in the Army as a Personnel Management Specialist. Lady J faithfully serves beside her husband in ministry, and is a champion to the young women that she serves and mentors; preparing them for kingdom living.

Bishop Johnson is married to the former Neila D. Adderley ("Lady J."), and they are the proud parents of two handsome sons and one daughter, Shai'Reef, Jahmeir & Dasia Faith. He is also the father of NaTasha, Derrick, Jr., Datrian, Darius, and Christopher.

Bishop Johnson's aim is to bring "Amazing Ministry" to those under his spiritual leadership and his desire is to consistently teach God's principles while empowering people to win in life.
